I don’t really have outright favourites in any area of life, but when it comes to wine-makers, Diego Fernandez Pons is a definite contender. Is he objectively that good or do I just fall under his spell? Who knows? Who cares?
This latest addition to our range from Bodegas Enguera shows the poise and warm embrace that characterise his output. Aged in French oak barrels for 8 months, this cheerful and deeply fruity red is just delicious. Floral and herbal notes on the nose, plum and fruit compote on the palate, with a sweet liquorice finish.
