Premium quality, 100% pure and natural Coconut Oil - Hazelnut Flavour. Natures Aid® MCT oil is 100% MCT oil made in the UK to GMP standards MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. A triglyceride is a type of fat, or lipid, found in your body that plays two main roles, triglycerides can be burned for energy, or stored as body fat.  Most fats such as those found in meats, olive oil, fish and avocado, are long-chain triglycerides. These longer and more complex triglycerides take a lot more time to be broken down by your body than the shorter, less complex MCTs. Medium-chain triglycerides can be broken down quite quickly and are therefore thought to be a useful energy source. It is thought that because MCTs can be turned into energy efficiently, it is less likely that they will be stored by your body as fat.The best food sources of MCTs are coconut oil, palm kernel oil, whole milk, and butter. At Natures Aid, our MCT Oil provides a convenient and concentrated source of vegan-friendly medium-chain triglycerides, sourced exclusively from coconuts via a process called fractionation. The fractionation process used in the production of our 100% coconut-sourced Pure MCT Oil 500ml uses steam distillation, and no chemicals, leaving behind an undamaged, intact oil that provides your body with 100% MCT.Our 100% Pure Coconut Sourced MCT Oil 500ml is completely free from both palm oil and GMO; we have also ensured our MCT oil is suitable for a wide variety of dietary requirements by guaranteeing it contains no common allergens
