Organic Raw Cacao Butter
Cacao Butter is the edible natural vegetable fat of the cacao bean. Our Choc Chick Kits include organic cacao butter which is cold pressed from the cocoa (Theobroma cacao) seed/bean. This cold pressed method ensures all the natural nutrients of the cacao bean are retained. Cacao Butter itself is a very stable fats, containing natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity and give it a storage life of two to five years (please refer to individual packages for best before dates).
Store the cacao butter in a cool dark place. Cacao Butter tends to melt quite easily, so only melt the butter gently over a low heat and be careful not to boil in order to preserve the natural nutrients and antioxidants.
Once you have made your chocolates, these should be stored in the fridge or freezer. If stored in the fridge, your chocolates can last for up to 4 days or up to 10 days in the freezer… if you haven't of course gobbled them up beforehand!
